After my son was born, I took a sewing class at Make & Mingle and fell in love with all the beautiful fabrics that were out there. In an effort to upcycle my fabric scraps, I started playing around with the fabrics and started making pictures for friends as baby shower gifts.
Fast forward a couple of months and my good friend, Lori came to visit and encouraged me to open a shop of my own on Etsy. (Thank you Lori!) I started Heart By Kerry and have been creating pieces ever since. I love the Etsy community which offers virtual classes called "labs" from everything on how to set up a your own shop and how to be successful online artist.

One of my friends (a very LONG time ago) asked me if I could make a Day of the Dead art piece for her new home. I was excited about the challenge and FINALLY got around to finishing it.
